Our Story

Carlton Towers is located in North Yorkshire. Below are the easiest ways to reach the venue by air and train.

Getting There by Train

Nearest train station: Selby Selby is approx. 2 hours direct from London Kings Cross station or 2.5 hours with one change via York station. From Selby station, Carlton Towers is a 10-15 minute taxi ride. Leeds and York are both approx. 20-30 minutes by train from Selby.

Travel Guidance: Arriving on the Day

For those planning to travel up on the day, please ensure you arrive in good time for our projected 1pm ceremony start. We recommend booking the direct train from London Kings Cross to Selby departing at 9:18am on Friday the 4th, as this will allow ample time for your journey and onward travel to Carlton Towers.

Airports

Manchester Airport - approx. 1 hour 45 minutes by car. London Heathrow Airport - approx. 3.5-4 hours by car or train. Newcastle Airport - approx. 2 hours by car.

Space is limited at Carlton Towers. We are prioritising onsite rooms for members of our Wedding Party and immediate family. For your personalised accommodation details, please reach out to Ann or Daniel at forevermoore.info.2026@gmail.com and mention your name and party size to secure your room at our discounted rate for Thursday the 3rd and Friday the 4th. It is possible that a small number of rooms or cottage spaces may become available onsite. If you are interested in staying at Carlton Towers, please let us know and we will add you to the waiting list in case any spaces become available.

There are also several other locations within easy driving distance that may suit your plans, including Wakefield, Pontefract, and Howden, all of which offer a variety of accommodation options and are easily reachable by car.
